Yes, Dhaka is now no longer a general air destination. It is now slowly become busiest business and travel hub destination in the world. Although, the state airline has decreased their destinations due to fleet shortages but other foreign airlines are taking this opportunity. So, this is pathetic to us. However, more foreign airlines means more opportunity to this country.
According to source, Air India Express, Bangkok Airways and Fly Dubai will start their operation in Bangladesh soon. Bangkok airways might start from 27th March. Fly Dubai will start from 14th February and Air India Express will start from 1st March. Bangkok Airways will fly between Dhaka and Bangkok-Suvarnabhumi. Fly Dubai will connect between Dhaka and Dubai. At last, Air India Express will fly from Dhaka to Kolkata, Singapore and Bangkok.
Now more than 25 foreign airlines are flying more than 30 direct flights to different cities and more than 3 continents directly from Dhaka city and Chittagong Airport (Port City).
Bangkok Airways is currently flying more than 7 international destinations.
Fly Dubai is currently flying more than 32 destinations.
Air India Express is currently flying more than 31 destinations.
